Does the premium own brand work on an Epson XP 900?

I have bought 2 different own brands from different suppliers and my epson wont recognise them. Has anyone else had any experience with an epson XP 900 and inks?

Manufacturers will always try and make the software so sensitive that the printer is unable to work with anything other than the original product. Each printer, even of the same model, will have a different level of software sensitivity and you, nor we, will know what this is. Dye or pigmented ink?

Is this ink the dye kind or the pigment kind. It should be stated in the description.
- The ink in these cartridges are water dye based inks. You only have pigment dyed ink in the manufacturers original cartridges.

Do you have a lifetime figure for prints stored in an album? Not expecting 300yrs as quoted by EPSON.
