with the hazard tape across the cartridge is this to be removed when installing into printer ?

epson xp-960
- The 'hazzard' tape remains as this covers the holes in the top of the cartridge where the case is filled with ink.

should the tape across the top of the cartridge be removed ?

I am worried that if the tape is removed as per instructions in cartridge box the ink may leak.
- When you receive your new Epson ink cartridge you’ll find a piece of plastic or foil covering the cartridge nozzle, as seen in the below image.
  
  This cover will stand out as it does not have a tab connected to it for easy removal. You DO NOT need to remove this before installing your cartridge. The Epson printer is designed to pierce this cover when the cartridge is successfully installed.
  
  Don’t panic if you have already laboured away to remove this seal. Your cartridge will still work, just be careful when you install it and remember it’s not necessary with any future cartridges.

no obvious difference to the main brand

I ordered Epson cartridges for one printer and their own-brand for another at home. Got a call from one of the team just checking I’d meant to mix the two — which I appreciated, as it would’ve been easy to get wrong. I explained I wanted to test the own-brand against Epson. She talked me through the guarantees and what to expect, no pressure at all, just making sure I had the full picture. On that basis, I switched and went all own-brand. Glad I did. Honestly, I can’t see any difference in quality, and it’s saved me a decent bit of money. More importantly, the way they handled it stood out — not pushy, just helpful and switched on. That’s not sales, that’s proper service. Based on this alone, they’ve got a long-term customer in me.

Usual good service.

As always quick efficient delivery. Due to ? Upgrades printer initially refused to see the cartridges. Your web page left me to a way to bypass this.

Excellent quality inks

Excellent quality inks, fast delivery and excellent communication. Had a bit of trouble at first setting up my printer but the help from the company was above and beyond. Definitely using in the future. Print quality is the same as the makers original. Perfect photos every time.
