Is this recyclable?
What type of plastic is it made from? Party recycled? Or able to be recycled after use?
The tape itself
The embossing tape (PVC + adhesive) is not recyclable via normal UK household recycling. Adhesives, mixed materials, and the small flexible format prevent mechanical recycling.
➡️ Once used, the tape should go in general waste.
The plastic cassette / reel
On authentic DYMO products, some label cassette housings are made from at least 80% recycled plastic, but this refers to D1 / LetraTag / Rhino cartridges, not loose embossing tape reels [dymo.com] Embossing tape reels are not listed by DYMO as recyclable items and are not included in any DYMO take‑back scheme. Therefore our own brand will mimic the Dymo genuine brand, and the reel should be placed in general waste.
