DYMO Rhino 6000 wire labelling tape
I've used Dymo XTL 500 & Rhino 6000 tape labellers for a while now and whilst I preferred the XTL 500 Dymo no longer support this excellent product. The Rhino 6000 does, but it's not the same :-( Anyway this 18444 vinyl tape is a great all-rounder for flat surfaces, as well as wire-wrap idents down to 0.5mm tri-rate. Below this the identification isn't a practical size, so I flag very thin wires. The adhesive sticks like sh*t to a blanket, initially tacky enough for small re-alignments, but after a few hours it's not coming off without a fight. I did try a cheaper compatible tape, but whilst the 1st cartridge looked hopeful the next three didn't adhere, so lesson learnt . The Cartridge people gave a full refund on the compatible tape, so no complaints there and the replacement Dymo tapes arrived the next day. On the whole this is an excellent product for labelling wires. The repeated print allows the wire ID to be read from any angle, and the low profile (similar to shrink wrap) keeps the terminals uncluttered and easy to read. In my humble opinion this is much better than the slide-on ID holders and printed inserts. Give it a go - you won't be disappointed (& good value from the Cartridge People).
