When first viewed the initial reaction to replacement cartridges of thermal constant length adhesive backed full colour labels seem to be excessive. But these are the only cost once the printer is purchased. No ink; no toner; no thermal tape; A rough cost breakdown, if a cartridge is £30 for 5M that’s £6 per M; £3 per 500mm; £1.25 for 250mm. - how many labels exceed 75mm? Not many and this is full colour, no smudge and in excess of 300DPI. If using a 50mm cartridge, the quality is absolutely acceptable for ID badge overlays on the 80mm rigid PVC card. - slightly under of course, but far far easier than card printing itself and cheaper too ! Also great for H&S labels; and compliance. The app is basic but improves with familiarity of use. Apart from the occasional wish for 100mm width labels, this unit is just brilliant and underrated. - keep kids away unless you have a deep pocket - the ability to print loooooooong labels suddenly adds up!
