HP's Photosmart printers were targeted towards the amateur photography enthusiast who was looking for consistent colour for true-to-life prints. With the company's Vivera inks, they were able to achieve this whilst also offering laser-quality documents.

A popular range with customers for some time, the HP 363 ink cartridges are able to be used in the slightly different Photosmart machines. The difference between this photograph-focused device and a more conventional printer is that the former offers six-cartridge technology.

This means you have a standard black, cyan, magenta and yellow but then you also have a light cyan and light magenta cartridge. This offering, with a single ink tank, is to try and offer more ink and the extra colours to enhance the printer's ability to produce accurate photo prints.

For optimal performance, the inks are said to be formulated to resist fading, smudging and bleeding - and are specially designed for use in your HP printer.
