Own brand drum OK so far!

Installing was easy & it's performing ok so far, but only had it a week. Would have liked instruction on how to reset drum usage stats, but easily found on internet.

Own Brand Brother DR-2300 Drum Unit

I bought thisbto replace my drum. I don't usually take any notice when my Brother machine sends me messages (usually to replace the laser cartrudge when it still has 2K pages in it) but given that I was trying to orint an 80 pager and it kept stopping after a few pages I thought I'd better. I was concerned that the drum wouldn't be recognised, but it went in seamlessly and the instructions provided in the box for resetting the unit were perfect.

Good value

I bought this in the hope of saving my favourite but elderly laser printer. It fitted perfectly and together with a new Cartridge People toner cartridge immediately brought my printer back to life. So far it is giving great results - only time will tell how long it lasts. Definitely worth the experiment.
