From Original Artwork to Print: Linda King’s Cartridge People Own Brand Story
Sometimes, the best customer feedback arrives in an email. Sometimes, it arrives through the letterbox.
We were delighted recently to receive a handwritten card from Cartridge People customer and artist Linda King, along with something extra special: examples of her own artwork printed using both Canon supplies and Cartridge People Compatible Own Brand products.
Linda had carried out her own side-by-side comparison at home and was kind enough to send the finished prints to our team so we could see the results for ourselves.
Putting Cartridge People Compatible Own Brand to the test
Linda uses a Canon Selphy CP1300 to print her artwork. Curious to see how different supplies would perform; she printed the same piece using Canon RP-108 ink supplies and Cartridge People Own Brand KP-108IN ink supplies.
For the comparison, Linda chose one of her colourful abstract artworks, featuring layers of blue, gold and other rich tones.
She then sent both prints to us, clearly labelled so our team could compare the results side by side.
Looking at the prints ourselves, we were impressed by the comparable print quality of the Cartridge People Own Brand result, particularly across the artwork’s rich colours and detail. Meet the artist behind the prints
Linda King was born in Bristol in 1958 and now lives in Cornwall.
A self-taught artist, creativity has been part of her life for as long as she can remember.
“I have made art since I could hold a pencil,” Linda told us.
Over the years, she has explored an impressive variety of creative disciplines, including drawing, realism and abstract painting, photography, collage, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery, model making and writing.
Linda didn’t attend art school, instead developing her skills and creative style independently over many years.
Now retired, she has the opportunity to dedicate time to making art.
As Linda puts it, she makes art “whenever the mood strikes, which is often”.
We think the colourful abstract pieces she sent us are a brilliant example of that creativity.

Linda’s letter was a lovely reminder that printing isn’t always simply about documents and paperwork.
