The Xerox Phaser 6600DN is a laser printer aimed at the business market and has a host of features with office-use in mind.

To maintain high productivity in your workplace, this printer has a print speed of 35ppm meaning that you won’t need to wait around for your documents to be printed.

In terms of print quality, the Phaser 6600 has a Photo Mode that will help make images and graphics look full of vibrancy with deep, rich colours. Print resolutions of up to 600 x 600 x 4dpi (1200 x 1200 enhanced image quality) are offered with this printer.

There is also the added functionality of duplex (double-sided) printing that can help keep your business’ paper usage down and therefore offer a cost saving. With a 550-sheet paper tray plus an optional paper tray that could increase paper capacity to beyond 1,250 sheets, this will provide office printer users with uninterrupted productivity.

This colour laser printer has been described by some as an ideal fit for those of you looking to print a lot of pages in colour without compromising on quality.

The 6600DN is easy to set up although it is a fairly heavy machine and is not ideal as a desktop printer, so another space in your office/home may be needed to accommodate it. In terms of speed, Xerox rates the printer at 35ppm for both colour and monochrome. That said, with the printer installing a duplex printer mode by default, it’s been reported that this speed can slow to 24ppm.

Paper capacity is high for this printer with a full ream (550 sheets) of paper able to be held.

Optionally, you can even add a second print tray, again holding 550 sheets. Printer resolution for this machine is 1200dpi and there is a USB port in order for you to connect to your home PC or laptop.

Due to the size and paper handling capabilities of the 6600DN, it is geared toward small businesses rather than home users. The quality of its prints, even in colour (when used for large printing jobs such as putting together information packs for presentations), are viewed as a big plus point for the printer.

Users are capable of printing directly from Apple iOS-based devices with support for Apple AirPrint. As well as this, you can keep your sensitive documents away from unintended recipients with available secure print (though this requires Productivity Kit with 512MB RAM or Productivity Kit with 160GB Hard Drive).
