Canon i-Sensys MF752Cdw A4 Colour Laser Printer (Wireless)

Great printer with easy set up.

Easy to setup printing using std windows setup. Print quality and speed is excellent. Setting up scanner is difficult. Can only scan after downloading the canon print mobile app.

Once set-up properly, this is a great multi-function scanner/copier/printer that prints quickly and smoothly (double-sided too), with good colour balance and clear, precise fonts. The copying and scanning facility is also good (as you would expect from Canon), and it links / sends scanned documents easily to my different computers. This is much better than the previous modern HP multi-function printer I had. The large LCD display screen makes setting up / controlling the functions easy, particularly when setting up on a wireless network (without USB connection first), which I was able to di easily. It is also a relatively compact size / footprint for the printer it is. (NB the model is slightly different form the image shown on this website and the paper capacity is better (250 pages) and output faster (33ppm) than the website specs indicate. The one drawback is that until you download and install a) the correct drivers for both printer and scanner) on each computer you want to access it from, b) the software to control the scanner in particular, the printer won't function well, with odd errors like thinking there is no paper when there is a full tray and printing a blank page first on the back of a single page of printing...! If only the supplied CD-ROM worked to install the drivers/software automatically, or better still, the printer did that wirelessly itself once connected (it managed to update the printer firmware software that way, no doubt to ensure you can only use Canon toner...) Failing all that, if the Canon website had a bit of software that installed the relevant drivers etc automatically (and they gave yo instructions to do that), that would help. I am relatively good technically with IT, but I think others would struggle. This is why it gets docked 2 stars from ease of use - once set-up, it is a doddle to use (I just have to remember to switch it on because it is very eco-friendly and switches itself off after a while!) All in all, it is a great multi-function device and does a really good job for the main functions I need (printing and scanning) now that it is set up properly.
