Price for unit and ink cartridges were a factor in the purchase of this unit. The ink prints a lot for the price, so good value

I needed a printer scanner to replace an old HP printer. After lots of research I decided on the Brother MFC-J4340DW as it had good reviews for its scanning ability. It was easy to set up and connected easily to my laptop. A little more involved than plug and play but easy and clear instructions. Setting up the scanner did require extra software and drivers to be installed/downloaded but again this was all very straightforward and easy to follow. Once set up the printer has been excellent. Very fast and quiet compared to the HP it has replaced. The scanner is also excellent and the auto feed has saved me lots of time. So far I can’t find anything negative about the printer and I’m very happy and impressed with it.

Excellent price and service, arrived sooner than expected

It took a very long time to set up and I still haven’t mastered the default settings of all the (unnecessary ?) buttons but it works direct from MS Office products without the App and is very quick. The ink costs should also be considerably less than I previously incurred with my HP printer.

Bought this from Cartridge people at a great price to replace a clapped out HP Office printer. Very easy to set up, a few glitches in set up mainly by me! Works well from two computers now.

This Brother printer is excellent for general home use and easy to set up following the instructions supplied.

Have always been an HP printer fan but was put off replacing our broken Photosmart with another HP after reading of all their Dynamic Security tricks to prevent you using non genuine cartridges so started looking at other options. Very pleased to have found this one. Looks neat enough, quieter than the HP and was no real problem to set up though it was slightly time consuming. A good sized screen and plenty of facility to do copies etc from the control panel without having to have phone apps etc. I find it quite strange that if you want to hard wire it to your computer, then the USB port is buried deep inside the printer rather than externally located. That said though, there is a nice channel to route your cable to the outside. It was the first time I've used Cartridge People and I would recommend them.Delivered within 2 days and very competitive price. At time of purchase there was a £30 cash back offer which we claimed and was processed and paid with a week so even better value.

This printer replaced a 7-year old similar Brother printer, although this one is smaller and the white colour is attractive. It was delivered promptly and does its job perfectly - including decent sized cartridges rather than the tiny installation ones that some printers come with. Nothing further to add - exactly what I wanted.
