Text documents will appear laser-like whilst colours will be vividly displayed on the page. There is also the possibility to print 10 x 15cm photos from your mobile device without having to change paper. This is due to the 5740’s separate paper tray.

Catering for a variety of home office needs, this machine can print, scan, copy and fax with ease. There is a double-sided printing option included alongside a paper capacity of 125 sheets.

Navigating your way around the HP OfficeJet 5740’s functions is made easier by the 68mm touchscreen incorporated into the printer’s design.

Being able to print on-the-go is an important feature for a busy home office or small office and the speed at which this machine prints will boost productivity. Both mono and colour documents will be produced to a high standard and your favourite photos can be printed with confidence knowing they’ll show excellent colour vibrancy.

The OfficeJet model name may suggest this machine could meet the high volume demands of a busy workplace but the 125-sheet paper tray may feel a little on the small side for business use.

Another downside is the use of a black and tri colour ink cartridge system which can be costlier than individual inks where only the colour used needs to be replaced.
