Epson Expression Home XP-412 Printer Description

The Epson Expression Home XP-412 offers home users mobile printing and wireless connectivity combined with print, scan and copy functionality.

In terms of providing wireless printing, the machine comes with Epson Connect which offers users the chance to print documents and photographs quickly from smartphones and tablets when using the iPrint app. There is also the added benefit of being able to personalise print jobs and even store scanned documents directly in Cloud services.

Google Cloud Print is also compatible with the printer whilst Apple AirPrint is also supported.

As part of Epson’s smallest-ever range of all-in-one printers, the XP-412 has a 6.4cm LCD screen with touch panel operation. Greater flexibility is also offered for PC free printing with memory card slots also being available.

Printing and scanning wirelessly is made easy thanks the XP-412’s automatic Wi-Fi set up. This finds the relevant connection settings in order for the printer to configure itself. There is also no need for a network with Wi-Fi Direct giving added versatility.

High quality photo and document printing is helped by Epson’s Claria Home Ink which can ensure text documents are clear and crisp and photographs are lab quality and glossy. Due to the printer only using individual ink cartridges, users can make cost savings by only having to replace the ink that’s been used.

Epson XP-412 Expert Review

The Epson Expression Home XP-412 Small-in-One printer is one of Epson’s small home inkjet devices.

It offers cost-effective printing, copying and scanning with Wi-Fi connectivity. The printer features a 6.4cm LCD screen along with a touch panel for use without being connected to a PC.

This flexibility, along with its Wi-Fi capabilities, allows users to print from tablets, smartphones and anywhere else by simply emailing documents directly to the printer. The XP-412 also features the scan to cloud function that allows users to save scanned documents to any cloud service, including Google Cloud Print.

The XP-412 features automatic Wi-Fi set up that scans available connections and configures itself. Another option is to use Wi-Fi Direct, which lets users print to the printer from wireless devices without setting up a home network.

The printer can print images up to a resolution of 5760 by 1440dpi. It can produce 8.7 pages per minute monochrome or 4.5 pages per minute in full colour. A 10 by 15cm photo can be printed in approximately 38 seconds. The scanner scans images in at a top resolution of 1200 by 2400dpi.
