This printer is the ideal purchase for those looking for quality printing at quick speeds and with the connectivity features that allow it to be printed to and scanned from anywhere in the home.

Described as a high-performance all-in-one printer, the Canon Pixma MG6450 is designed to be used and shared wirelessly around the home and to be accessed remotely from smartphone devices. With an advanced five-ink system, the machine offers printing, copying and scanning to a high standard.

For those who enjoy being able to print their favourite photographs, a built-in memory card reader and Wireless LAN Pictbridge will let you easily print from memory cards and compatible wireless cameras. Scanning documents and photographs to a memory card is also a simple process.

Supported by Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, the Canon Pixma MG6450 has the flexibility that can see you check the status of your printer as well as managing what is printed to and scanned from the machine.

For fast home printing, this device has a print speed of 15.0ipm for mono and 9.7ipm for colour. Borderless 10 x 15cm photos can be produced in approximately 44 seconds whilst Canon’s FINE technology will offer a 4800dpi print resolution to deliver sharp text and images.

There is auto duplexing (double-sided) printing provided as standard and users will appreciate a feature that can see paper costs halved. Add to this the optional XL inks that are compatible with this printer and you will find that the MG6450 is a value for money product.

Canon Pixma MG6450 Expert Review

The Canon Pixma MG6450 All-in-One Printer offers printing, scanning and copying along with wireless use and high performance.

The device uses five different ink cartridges so users only need to replace the colours that they use the most. These colours are black, cyan, magenta, yellow and photo black. Photo black helps give images more depth and detail while leaving the standard black cartridge for printing documents. XL ink cartridges are also available for users who print a large volume of documents/photos.

The MG6450 prints images at a stunning 4800dpi and can produce colour photos at speeds of 9.7 pages per minute. For monochrome documents, it prints at a steady average speed of 15 pages per minute.

In addition to printing from a PC or any wireless device, the MG6450 also features a 7.5cm colour display that allows users to quickly and easily print from memory cards or even from the internet via the Enhanced PIXMA Cloud Link. Users can print from social media, online photo storage clouds like Picasa, or even from documents stored in Dropbox or Evernote.

Canon also has a number of online templates that can be downloaded and printed. The My Image Garden software allows for manipulation, sorting, printing and sharing of photos.
