In the Canon Pixma iP7250 printer, you have a machine that is perfect for home users looking for high quality printing on a frequent basis and with the versatility to print photographs, documents and onto CDs.

In addition to a low-profile design, this printer has a self-opening output tray that will reduce its footprint in the home. The two paper trays will accommodate different sizes of paper and varying types at the same time. The Direct Disc Print feature allows users to print straight onto compatible CDs and DVDs.

Through using the Canon PRINT app combined with the machine’s Wi-Fi connectivity, users can print using a smartphone and tablet from virtually anywhere in the home. For those with Apple devices, Apple AirPrint will has the capability to print photographs, emails and web pages from your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

With what Canon describes as a “class leading” 9600dpi print resolution, a high standard of printing can be expected in the case of both documents and photo prints. The Canon Pixma iP7250 has a print speed of 15ipm for monochrome documents and 10ipm when it comes to colour document printing. In the case of photo printing, a print speed of approximately 21 seconds is offered.

In terms of photo printing, the My Image Garden software offered by Canon will use face recognition to search your PC for photographs whilst the Print Your Days app will let users print their favourite Facebook photographs directly.

There are features that are designed to save on paper and energy expenditure. In the case of paper, auto duplexing (double-sided printing) is included as standard allowing you to potentially cut your paper cost in half through printing on both sides. An energy saving can be made thanks to the Auto Power On/Off functionality of this machine that will turn the printer on once you start printing and then off again after a period of inactivity.

Canon iP7250 Expert Review

Canon’s Pixma iP7250 Colour Inkjet Printer is designed for home use for those who need to print photo lab quality images.

It uses five high performance ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, photo black and print black) to print photos up to 9600 by 2400dpi. It has a maximum print speed of 15 pages per minute monochrome and 10 pages per minute in full colour. It can also print a 10 by 15cm borderless photo in about 20 seconds.

The iP7250 features Wi-Fi connectivity that allows users to print from tablets, smartphones, and laptops. Apple AirPrint makes the device compatible with all Apple products and Canon’s Easy PhotoPrint App even allows users to scan images to mobile devices.

In addition to wireless printing, the iP7250 has two integrated paper trays that can be used for two different sizes of paper. Direct Disc Print allows users to print labels directly onto compatible CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Rays. Full auto duplexing is also available.
