Can my Canon Pixma TS5351 printer tell what the capacities are? of your OWN BRAND Cartridges?

Recently the printer 'told' me my cartridge was exhausted (no, it was still printing clearly) and refused to budge until I fitted a new cartridge which then worked fine. I sneaked the 'old' cartridge back later and it worked. I have printed several tens of pages since and it's fine. So does the printer recognise the extra capacity or should I revert to Standard XL?
- Printers will always tell you that you are 'out of ink' when there is plenty of ink left in the cartridge. It is their way of making you purchase another cartridge, as that's how they make their money. You can reset the ink levels and carry on printing by pressing the button with the upside down triangle with a circle inside. Press and hold this for 5-10 seconds and it should reset the ink and carry on printing

Canon PG-560 Black and CL-561 Colour Ink Cartridges

The Canon PG-560 and CL-561 range is made up of black and tri-colour cartridges. These ink cartridges will provide highly detailed prints, whether you're printing colour pages for a work task or looking to print digital photographs at home.

The standard black cartridge contains 7.5ml of ink and the tri-colour cartridge contains 8.3ml of ink, which means around 180 pages per cartridge.
