With improved fade resistance, Canon PG-40 and CL-41 genuine ink cartridges support Canon's new system of genuine Canon dye-based inks. The ChromaLife100 system delivers an exceptionally broad Colour gamut, and with specialised photo paper is designed to work together with the Canon "FINE" printheads.

It is the printhead technology in the Canon PG-40 / Canon CL-41 cartridges which gives them their staying power. Having been the "big" range before the release of the Canon PGI-550 / Canon CLI-551, this range was initially released at a time when Canon printers became renowned for their robust build quality and durability.
