This is great for when you realise it needs to be cancelled at the last minute. A print queue is a sequential list of files to be printed one at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to \u2018Printers &amp; scanners\u2019 and type \u2018printer\u2019 in the search bar. Printing already begun? Double-click the printer icon on the taskbar (bottom right of screen). It will stop midway through printing though.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find the print queue, double-click your printer and click \u2018Open queue\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find your print job, right-click on it and click \u2018Cancel\u2019. This will remove the document from the queue. To resume simply uncheck \u2018Pause printing\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"Mac\"><\/a>Mac<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The steps to clear a print queue on Mac are simple, here\u2019s what you need to do:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the Apple menu, then navigate to \u2018System Preferences\u2019 and then \u2018Printers &amp; Scanners\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose your printer and then either double-click your printer or click \u2018Open Print Queue\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find your print job and then click \u2018X\u2019 to cancel or the pause symbol to temporarily prevent the print job from starting once it\u2019s ready.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"Android (Mopria)\"><\/a>Android (Mopria)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To cancel a print job on Android (Mopria), all you need to do is pull down the notification bar and then press \u2018Cancel\u2019. You can also find your job on the print progress screen and press \u2018Cancel\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"iOS\"><\/a>iOS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to your \u2018App Switcher\u2019 and select \u2018Print Center\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A badge on the icon tells you the number of print jobs currently in your queue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find your print job in \u2018Print Center\u2019 and then simply select \u2018Cancel Printing\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"Troubleshooting\"><\/a>Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the above hasn&#8217;t worked, try the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"Windows CMD Commands\"><\/a>Windows CMD Commands<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">services.msc<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Type \u2018cmd\u2019 into the search bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then open command line window as an administrator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Input this CMD command: \u2018services.msc\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This will open the \u2018Services\u2019 menu. While here, select \u2018Print Spooler\u2019 and then select \u2018Stop\u2019 in the \u2018Print Spooler Properties\u2019 pop-up window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While in the Windows File Explorer, input the path \u2018WINDOWS\\System32\\spool\\PRINTERS\u2019 and delete each temporary printer file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reopen the \u2018Services\u2019 menu via the input of this CMD command: \u2018services.msc\u2019 in the command prompt window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, you\u2019ll restart the print spooler once you click \u2018Start\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Net Stop Spooler<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Type \u2018cmd\u2019 into your search bar and then select \u2018Run as administrator\u2019 in the dialogue box. The keyboard shortcut for this = Windows key + R, type \u2018cmd\u2019 and after that press Ctrl + Shift + Enter.<br>2. Type the following in the command prompt window: \u2018net stop spooler\u2019. On Windows File Explorer input the path: \u2018WINDOWS\\System32\\spool\\PRINTERS\u2019. Here, select the \u2018Print queues\u2019 tab. Double-click this and then choose the print queue for your printer. Right-click on the print job to cancel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Windows Key + Pause:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open \u2018system settings\u2019 and head to \u2018Device Manager\u2019 (which you should open as an administrator).
