At Cartridge People, we\u2019re passionate about helping people capture life\u2019s most beautiful moments. That\u2019s why we launched our latest competition, \u2018Memories Through the Lens\u2019, to celebrate World Photography Day on August 19th. Our aim was to encourage budding photographers to showcase their creativity and share their cherished moments through the magic of photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were thrilled by the overwhelming response from talented creatives across the country. Every submission told a unique story, capturing memories in ways that stirred both emotion and inspiration. The incredible variety of entries made choosing a winner no easy task!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After much deliberation, we are excited to announce that Mark Solon is the winner of this year\u2019s competition! His stunning photograph, featuring an afternoon walk with his brother along the beach, was truly captivating and stood out for its depth and emotional resonance. We\u2019d also like to take this opportunity to commend the other entrants. The quality of submissions was truly exceptional. It was inspiring to see so many creative interpretations of the theme and we are grateful to everyone who participated.<\/p>\n\n\n

“My brother and I took an afternoon walk along the beach. He is the figure on the left. I suddenly saw many figures walking or standing as if they were choreographed. I like the intensity of the image in black and white”<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cartridge People\u2019s in-house photographer Ilias Kounenis and independent judge Sophie Hearts selected the winning image based on four key criteria; creativity and originality, relevance to the theme, technical quality and emotional impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to our competition, we\u2019ve also been supporting photographers through a series of blog posts filled with expert tips and tricks. Whether you’re interested in learning how to print photos from your mobile<\/a>, restoring old photos<\/a>, mastering low-light photography<\/a> or discovering the best photo printers of 2024<\/a>, we\u2019ve got you covered! These resources are designed to help photographers of all levels capture, enhance and preserve their memories for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
