Apollo Computers started life back in 1980 as one of the first vendors of graphical workstations, producing much of its own hardware and software and making a name for itself alongside the likes of Sun Microsystems and Symbolics.
In 1989, Apollo was acquired by Hewlett-Packard, who used the company's technology in its own workstations and servers, putting the brand on a new range of printers. The idea was for HP to use Apollo to compete with cheap printers, and the name became a feature on many DeskJet printers, including the popular P-1200 and 2000 series.
Over time, as HP's own branded machines became more affordable, Apollo was faded out and printer production ceased around 1997. However, the famous name that brought so much to the world of computing has not disappeared altogether. Not only do thousands of people still rely on the brand's dozen or so printers, HP has revived Apollo to serve as the brand for its server models.
While HP no longer manufacture Apollo printers, machines remain used daily across the world. Because of this, we remain committed to providing the very best ink cartridges to serve all printing needs.
