Pros: very good value

Cons: paper feed

A good quality product with a number of excellent features. Very reliable though occasinally will not pick up paper in feed tray, cleaning the roller rectifies immediately.

Pros: easy to replace ink cartridges

Cons: very slow printing forever on cleaning mode.

I purchased the MFC 490 two years ago to replace a 10 year old HP PSC 950 which had served me well. I wanted high quality, lowe volume printing, economic ink use, wireless, good printing speed and reliability. The colour printing quality is not as good as my old HP., it drinks ink, is very very slow, always on cleaning mode, would not go wireless and i am stuck with it. Who would want to buy such a machine?
