Pros: minimal servicing and reliable.

Cons: just not the best for pictures.

The fact that this printer is still performing well really speaks for its self; it's now several years old and I just use compatible cartridges in it so it makes for cheap printing.
Better than average text printing so ideal for the average home user, but if you want top class photo prints- get a different model.

Cons: they dry up too quickly

The last few cartridges we have bought are lower quality in my opinion as they dry up after a few days of not using the printer, even after using the Epson cleaning procedure and removing the cartridges etc they are of no use so they are not good value

Pros: value and reliability

Cons: poor on picture quality

This printer has served as good workhorse for basic printing for many years. The cartridges are inexpensive to purchase on line from The Cartridge People.
This printer is OK for text but poor on perfomance for pictures or photos
