As an all-in-one, the HP Photosmart C4480 is capable of printing, scanning and copying and whilst it may not have all the desired functions for use in a home office, it’s certainly suitable for a family.

This suitability is largely down to the photo printing quality that the machine is able to offer. The two memory card slots are plus points for the photo printing enthusiast.

A 100-sheet paper tray may be more than sufficient for a home user but for those expecting this printer to perform at a frequency needed for a busy home office, this may seem a little on the small side.

Perhaps the biggest failing the C4480 has is its lack of Wi-Fi connectivity. It has become accepted that today’s printers should carry the connectivity that will see them print wirelessly and, in many cases, from mobile devices.

The quality of printing for both text and images is of a standard that won’t see users disappointed and scans are also accurate.

Despite the lack of wireless connectivity, this is still a good printer for the home.
