Canon Pixma MP600 Printer Description

The Canon Pixma MP600 has advanced all-in-one features including an intuitive interface with Easy-Scroll Wheel.

Thanks to a 6.3cm TFT screen, operating this machine is made easy and users can view, select, edit and print digital photographs with a touch. Photos can also be printed directly from a PictBridge compatible camera without the need to switch on a PC.

In Standard Mode, 10 x 15cm borderless photographs can be printed in around 28 seconds.

When it comes to advanced media handling, the MP600 can print directly onto printable CDs or DVDs. Additionally, auto duplexing is available and the sheet feeder included can hold both photo and standard paper, easily switching between the two.

Ink wastage is kept to a minimum as a result of each ink tank being able to be replaced separately. Canon’s FINE print head technology will deliver microscopic ink droplets as small as 1pl.

In terms of style, the Canon Pixma MP600 has a ‘flip-like’ control panel that goes a long way towards helping the usability of this product.

Print speeds are a decent 30ppm for mono and 24ppm for colour which is more than quick enough for a moderate home user. The added benefit of a built in scanner is sure to impress many and the results are very good.

So far as ink cartridges for the MP600 go, the individual ink system helps keep waste down whilst a red LED flashing light when the ink is running low is a neat feature.

For a home office user, you may wish to have seen a fax function included but that doesn’t take away from what is a hugely competent multifunctional printer. An automatic document feeder may also not be offered but the paper capacity is still 150 sheets, certainly large enough for printing reports or assignments.
