The printer can produce 10 by 15cm borderless photos in less than 30 seconds and uses six different HP Vivera inks to print at resolutions as high as 4800dpi. The scanner is capable of scanning images at resolutions of 2400 by 4800dpi with a depth of 48-bit.

The Photosmart 2575 has built-in networking that allows users to share the printer on their local network. Laptops, PCs, tablets, and smartphones can all print to the device as well as receive scanned images. Users can also print directly from the printer without having a PC attached.

It has a multi-format memory card reader and a USB port for flash cards. The printer can also be used to print from different Bluetooth devices. A small QVGA colour display makes it easy to adjust images before making prints or copies.
