This device is designed for home users who need all-in-one versatility but also want to be able to print photos. It is rated at 3,000 printed pages per month, so it can also function as a single-user office printer.

It prints up to 4800 by 1200dpi in full colour and the C4180 makes use of two print cartridges, one for black ink and one for tri-colour ink.

The scanner on this all-in-one scans images at a maximum of 2400 by 4800dpi with a colour depth of 48 bit. The plate size is standard A4. The copier function can make up to 50 copies at once and can reduce or enlarge images. The printer has a small display for use without a PC.

The HP Photosmart Express software gives users a variety of different options for scanning, organising, printing and sharing their photos and documents.

One-touch printing and sharing options are available, as is the ability to print images from memory cards directly onto the printer.
